Why is Dr Joe’s voice like that?
There are several reasons why Dr Joe’s voice has evolved over the years during meditation. Our real time brain scans have shown that individuals do better and “go deeper” when certain voice techniques are used. Dr Joe intentionally makes his voice impersonal so that you can dissociate his voice from him. He also intentionally makes his voice sound as if it is coming from a distance and it feels like he is far away. When he raises his voice at times, he knows that it will keep people from falling in delta sleep patterns and therefore he sometimes wants people to linger in lighter brain wave states.
When I meditate, should I replay Dr Joe’s words in my head?
To receive the most benefit from your guided meditation, simply listen to the instructions and follow along. The more you practice, the more natural it will become. There is no need to repeat Dr Joe’s words to yourself. |
How do I do the breath that Dr Joe teaches, and why should I do it?
If I want to create multiple intentions, how should I allocate my meditation time? Dr Joe recommends creating a list of all desires and then assigning the list an image. Memorize this list and image. For example, using the Fleur-de-lis symbol. It is preferred to start with a shorter list.
